On a day that seemed like many others, the life of Elena, a young precarious worker skeptical of faith, was suddenly shaken by the loss of her last relative. In that moment of deep existential crisis, she decided to make a radical move: to completely clean out everything she owned in her house. While rummaging through forgotten objects in an old trunk, her gaze met some yellowed letters. They were the letters of her maternal grandmother, Gemma, and in them she often found the same enigmatic phrase: “beautiful mind.” What could it mean? Who could this “beautiful mind” be? Curiosity pushed Elena to embark on a journey in search of an answer. In the enveloping silence of outer and inner solitude, Elena found herself face to face with herself and with an indefinable, almost tangible presence. It was as if God himself were beside her, guiding her on a path of inner discovery. With every step forward, with every clue gathered along the way, Elena began to shed light on herself and on the revelation of the wonderful mind: the beautiful mind. That inner journey transformed Elena, giving her new awareness and new strength. She discovered that beauty lies not only in outward appearance, but above all in the depth of the human soul. And so, thanks to her grandmother’s letters and her courage to go beyond her own fears, Elena embraced her beautiful mind with gratitude and trust in the future.

Promising and undeniably engrossing novels… Mann knows how to deliver an espionage story. —Kirkus Review
Like the best of Le Carré with a pinch of Follett, but with a much greater understanding of the real world than either of ‘em! Complex and nuanced. —Chris Garcia, Hugo award-winning editor, author, critic, and curator of Forever Saroyan, LLC

Former government agent and think-tank director Mark Jamison needs a quiet coastal refuge for his breathing problems, and maybe some space to sort out his life and what remains of his marriage. What he finds in the mysterious little village of Angel Landing quickly escalates into a series of adventures to save the planet, or at least its male inhabitants, and soon forces him to confront his past and the assumptions that brought him here.
The composite Marin community of Angel Landing is brimming with secrets that an aging investigator can’t ignore, especially when the old house he rents puts him smack in the middle of Wiccans chasing the secret of human reproduction without the untidiness of needing men in the effort. The intrigue compounds when the government enlists his help to locate nuclear devices which have entered the Golden Gate, but vanished without a trace. Through a bizarre series of twists, all connect up and relate back through the fog of Angel Landing and his own past.
In Angel Landing, witches and Wiccans are not confined to fairy tales, and parthenogenesis and nuclear threats are not pipe dreams.
Angel Landing is intended as the first of a series of adventures of Mark Jamison, based on the author’s own breadth of experiences around the world.

His ruthless pursuit of oil extraction and engineering deals threatens regional stability, pitting him against a retired pope and a mysterious chess master who seeks to prevent global chaos.
As the ambassador’s dangerous game unfolds, the consequences ripple through world politics, leaving readers questioning the balance of power—and the hope for peace.

Anyone interested in Irish history will enjoy The Nationalists, a story with a backdrop of the 1916 Rising, the War of Independence and the Irish Civil War.
The story opens with Tony McAnthony meeting Angela O’Sullivan in the GPO during the Rising. Imprisoned after the Rising, Tony must fight for the woman he loves. He is forced to make hard, life-changing choices when Lucy, Angela’s best friend, is raped by the Black and Tans, the hated British auxiliary forces. Tony must now choose between the pen and the gun. Angela is taken aback by what he decides, and as a headstrong Kerry woman she goes her own way. Their paths will collide again later.
Father John Troy also has difficult choices to make. His decision to render aid to rebels lands him in prison and on a collision course with Rome, the Irish hierarchy and fellow priests. The Rising, of course, was more than a military thing. A cultural revolution took place in tandem. The Nationalists explores this aspect as well including the Abbey Theatre. The story interweaves factual and fictional characters – men like Eamon de Valera and Michael Collins.
The story isn’t completely set in Dublin but moves to Kerry, Wales and London and moves on from the Rising to the elections of 1918, the Black and Tan War and the Irish Civil War.
Everyone is affected. Nobody escapes unscathed.
