Members of the Irish Writers Union receive proof of membership for the Basic Income for the Arts Scheme
One of the many benefits of membership of the Union is that we can provide you with proof of membership for your application to the Basic Income for the Arts Scheme (BIA). Our team have been busy sending these out to our members in recent weeks, so most members will have received them by now. Please note that although the deadline for the BIA Scheme is 12th May, requests must be received by us by Thursday 7th May. After that, we may not be able to issue your proof of membership before that deadline.
If you haven’t yet received your proof of membership by post, please contact us by 7th May 2026.
PS There is still time to apply for full membership of the Irish Writers’ Union, or to renew your membership, if you have not already done so.
