WRITERS NETWORKING EVENT

Hosted by The Irish Writers Union

Thursday 17th April 2025

5:30 p.m. – 7.50 p.m. sharp

Pearse Street Library

OPEN TO EMERGING, ESTABLISHED AND ASPIRING WRITERS — ALL WELCOME

The Irish Writers’ Union (IWU) is delighted to announce this networking event for writers which is part of a series to be held around the country.

Writing, no matter how driven we are or how much we enjoy it, can be an isolating activity. Post-pandemic, it feels important to the IWU committee – and this has been echoed by members of the IWU – that we can start networking again with other writers, at all stages of our careers, because we have much to discuss and, as writers, we love talking about writing!

The evening will be hosted by writers Jonathan Saint and Gerald Kilby with assistance from the organiser, Helen Dwyer. They will talk about their careers as writers and their involvement with the IWU. This will be followed by a Q&A session. Tea and coffee will be served from 6 pm, and the main goal is for writers to meet, mingle and chat with other writers.

All writers are welcome, members and non-members, and if you are interested in joining the IWU, committee members will be available to chat and answer any questions.

More information about the Irish Writers’ Union can be found on this website, www.irishwritersunion.org. You may also apply for full or associate membership of the IWU by clicking on the JOIN NOW option on the home page. We look forward to meeting you.
