All writers are welcome, members and non-members.
The Irish Writers Union (IWU) is delighted to announce this, the first of a series of networking events for writers around the country, sponsored by the Irish Copyright Licencing Agency.
Writing, no matter how driven we are or how much we enjoy it, can be an isolating activity. Post-pandemic, it feels important to the IWU – and this has been echoed by members of the IWU – that we can start networking again with other writers, at all stages of our careers, because we have much to discuss and, as writers, we love talking about writing!
MC for the evening will be Lindsay J Sedgwick, IWU Chairperson. Dr Conor Kostick, IWU Disputes Officer, will give a talk on contracts, followed by a Q&A session. Tea and coffee will be served, and the main goal then is for writers to meet, mingle and chat with other writers.
All writers are welcome, members and non-members, and if you are interested in joining the IWU, committee members will be available to chat to answer any questions.
More information about the Irish Writers’ Union can be found on this website, www.irishwritersunion.org. You may also apply for full or associate membership of the IWU by clicking on the JOIN US option on the home page. We look forward to meeting you.
